Materials

For my landscapes and sea sides I use everything of Bob Ross. Liquids, oil paint, brushes/pencils etc. And when I’m finished I clean everything thoroughly with odourless thinner (which still smells really bad, but ok…) so that my brushes stay in good condition for a long time.
For my abstract/fantasy paintings I use different kinds of acrylic paint, brushes/pencils for acrylic paint and I clean with water.
In the beginning I often used a canvas board (a cotton cloth glued on a cardboard plate). Now I always use cotton canvases stretched on a wooden frame. These I always prepare with 3 layers of black or white gesso before I really start painting. I do this so the paintings last longer and I find it works better for me.
I also painted on wood and that works great as well. So I use different materials and backgrounds for my paintings.
